The cuisine at Ame is Japanese-influenced with a sophisticated flair. The Summer Squash soup was amazing with delicate pieces of duck and corn 'truffle'. the chilled capellini pasta with smoked ocean trout and Meyer lemon oil was the best I have ever had. It was simple and the presentation was beautiful. For entrees, everything came out perfect: the NY strip steak and braised short rib with vegetable 'ratatouille', the special of the day dish - a beautiful soft shell crab lightly deep fried with mashed potatoes and salad.
